The Bullitt GC32 Sailing Kiel Cup may be over but the excitement from the action packed racing event continues to linger.
This installment of the racing tour proved to be a particularly nail-biting one, when amidst unstable conditions Swiss competitors Team Alinghi walked away from the Cup with the winning title. The feat was made even more impressive by the fact that the team had bounced back from having capsized their boat during the perilously windy first day.
Following Thursday’s shaky start everyone got into the swing of it and soon some of our VIPs were taking to the catamarans like ducks to water! Amid BBQs, drinks and races, guests really got stuck into the thick of it during the first-hand experiences we’d arranged for them on the GC32 foiling boats and certainly didn’t shy away from a little choppy water.
Some of those who visited the Silver Bullitt container over the weekend were even lucky enough to witness demonstrations from top athletes including extreme canoeist Freya Hoffmeister, kite surfer champion Christine Bönniger and World Flat Land BMX Pro Dan Hennig.
